Services Present and Past Projects
Integral Advisory is led by its founder-directors, Ashington Ngigi and Joyce Njenga. A total of 17 staff members, in Nairobi and Kampala, are employed by Integral Advisory.
Managing Director: Ashington Ngigi.
Ashington Ngigi is a development financing expert with 18 years’ post-graduation work experience in both corporate and public finance.
He has ‘hands-on’ experience in designing, structuring, negotiating and monitoring investment and development funds, using diverse private sector financial vehicles, and blending grant funding with sustainable enterprise and capital access models.
Since 1998 when he was appointed the Kenya Country Manager for IFC/GEF/PVMTI, a major renewable energy initiative in Kenya, Morocco and India, and later as Eastern Africa Representative for the Triodos Renewable Energy for Development Fund, Ashington has provided business advisory, deal origination and structuring to several international and local organisations.
Ashington’s most current assignment is to structure, on behalf of an international client, the financing mechanisms for a new US$ 30 million fund that will fund energy initiative in
East Africa.
Ashington started his career with auditors Price Waterhouse, to which he was recruited while on campus based on exemplary performance, before moving on to head finance units in leading local companies and thereafter concentrating on financial and management advisory services through Integral Advisory Limited. He holds a degree in economics from the University of Nairobi, and professional accountancy qualifications.
As a businessman, Ashington is the founder of both Integral Advisory Ltd and IT Power (Eastern Africa).
He is also a Director of Voice and Data Interactive, which is set to play a defining role in the ICT sectors in East Africa. He is well versed in both international and local finance and investments and is widely traveled, to over 20 countries worldwide.
Finance and Admin Director: Joyce Njenga
Joyce was trained in business management at the respected Kenya Management Institute. She was instrumental in the formation of Integral Advisory Ltd (originally Integral Business Advisory Services) in 1998, as its first executive and full time Director.
From 1998 to 2004 when Integral Business Advisory Services was transformed into Integral Advisory Limited, she worked with micro enterprises, assisting them to adopt conventional management practices, especially setting up of internal financial control systems and separation of business finances from private owner-manager uses.
At Integral Advisory, Joyce is responsible for the smooth running of administrative, finance and logistical functions and is the overall human resource director.
Joyce is also the founding Managing Editor of Pregnant magazine, owned by Integral Media.
