Examples of assignments undertaken by Integral Advisory

Advisory services on financial linkages in key development sectors
We are currently responsible for the structuring of a US$ 30 million fund on behalf of an international organisation. The assignment involves the preparation of the fund’s information and investment memorandum, preparation of the fund’s systems procedures and documentation, and identification of initial transactions, including preliminary deal-making negotiations with the potential investee organizations and leverage partners.

Research and data services
We have Undertaken sector scoping and stakeholder mapping, the compilation of regional sector baselines for target sub-Saharan countries, and policy and regulatory framework analysis for use by a regional trading and political block.

Preparation of Programatic Implementations Plans
In June 2008 we were responsible for leading the design and compilation of the Kenya National Biogas Initiative Implementation and Investment Plans.We have undertaken similar assignments before:
The Implementation Plan for the Kenya component of the East African Community (EAC) Scaling-up Strategy for Access to Modern Energy Services, as well as the Implementation Plan for the Uganda National PV Targeted Market Approach.

Preparation of background and discussion papers
In June 2008 we were contracted to prepare a forum background paper on private sector participation in renewable energy in Uganda. The paper will become the basis for discussions in a high-level private sector workshop aimed at encouraging the flow of private capital into the renewable energy sector.

Facilitation of events
We were currently contracted to facilitate a national private sector event in July 2008 in Uganda. The event will bring together executives from both private and public organisations working in the energy sector.

Business advisory services for small and medium-sized enterprises
BDS is a deep-rooted service within Integral Advisory; it was the Company’s launch pad in 1998, when Integral Business Advisory Services (Integral Advisory’s predecessor) was inaugurated as a partnership.

Investment services, including portfolio services, project vetting and project funds disbursement management services
For a number of years now, Integral Advisory has had sound relationships with regional and international funds investing in the region. Currently Integral Advisory provides due diligence services to two regional funds which invest in both primary agricultural products and the agricultural value chain.
